This policy explains how the personal data you provide when contacting me through this website is processed, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

2. What data is processed
This website has no forms and does not create user accounts. I only process the data you send by email, WhatsApp or phone:
- Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
- The documents you send for translation, which may contain personal data about you or third parties (for example civil, academic, judicial or financial certificates).
- Billing details, if you place an order.
3. Why your data is used
- To answer your enquiries and prepare the quote you request.
- To carry out and deliver the sworn translation or interpreting service you order.
- To issue invoices and comply with tax and accounting obligations.
Your data is not used to send you advertising or to build profiles.
4. Legal basis
- Your consent and pre-contractual steps, when you contact me for information or a quote (art. 6.1.a and 6.1.b GDPR).
- Performance of the contract for the translation you order (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Compliance with legal obligations, including tax and accounting obligations (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
5. How long your data is kept
- Enquiries and quotes not accepted: for as long as needed to deal with them, and no longer than one year.
- Translated documents and order details: for as long as needed to provide the service and handle any claims, and then blocked for the legal limitation periods.
- Billing data: for the periods required by tax and commercial law.
6. Confidentiality
All documents are handled with strict confidentiality and professional secrecy, as required of a sworn translator and interpreter.
7. Recipients
Your data is not shared with third parties, except where required by law (for example, with the Spanish Tax Agency). The following providers may access data as processors in order to provide the service:
- Google (Gmail), for email.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to get in touch through that channel.
- Cloudflare, the hosting provider of this website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR (adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).
8. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability by writing to carolinalleo@gmail.com and stating which right you wish to exercise. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
If you believe your data is not being processed correctly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
9. Cookies
This website does not use its own or third-party cookies for analytics or advertising. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
